Chapter Philanthropy

With service being one of the core values of Sigma Kappa, the Epsilon Omega chapter prides itself on our many philanthropy events throughout the year. We participate in or host one main event per quarter with other small events throughout as well as participating in other sororities' and fraternities' events.

In the fall every member not only walks or volunteers at the Walk to End Alzheimer's, but also raises money for the cause. Last year, our chapter alone raised over $9,000 granting us the title of the top fundraising organization in the tri-county area. We aim to continue and grow our efforts in the future.

This past winter we hosted the first annual All AmΣriKan Cookout, a BBQ open to the Cal Poly and San Luis Obispo community in celebration of President;s Day. Not only was this event a great way to appreciate the holiday, but we were able to raise over $4,000 to support the Ultra Violet Foundation.

In the spring we have a blast hosting our annual inter-fraternity softball tournament, Frats at Bat, where we enjoy some softball, sun, and hot dogs with our fellow Greek members. Along with these main events, we visit a local Alzheimer's home weekly, make care bags for the homeless, clean up local beaches, and more.

As much as we enjoy giving back, we also love that these events double as sisterhood events where we can all come together and give back while having a great time!
